As you are aware, AI is creeping into our lives through every imaginable nook and cranny. I have allowed Claude access to my WordPress blog site. Fear not! I will create and write and edit my own posts. However, I did ask Claudio, also responding to Claudia depending on my disposition, for a couple of suggestions. The first was to come up with a unique recipe for Wranch Water. (In case you did not know, ranch water is a refreshing tequila drink, as you can learn online or by asking your favorite AI agent.) The second was to explain clearly how to leave a comment, as some of you have expressed difficulty doing that.
- Claudio came up with an interesting twist on ranch water to create Wranch Water. I will not tell you this secret recipe just yet. I want to give you a chance to create your version of ranch water to make it a true and unique Wranch Water. I suggest you have a shot of tequila to get the creative juices flowing. And just to make sure you can respond without complications , see bullet #2.
- This comes directly from Claudia: Want to leave a comment?
Scroll to the bottom of the post and click in the comment box. You’ll need to enter your name and email address — your email won’t be published. Then type your comment and click “Post Comment.” If you don’t see your comment right away, it may be waiting for my approval — I’ll get to it shortly.
Now, AI is a tool, but for me it is a toy. If some of you, even just one, feel like there could be a threat to your privacy, I am happy to disconnect Claudio. And, possibly a bit reluctantly, Claudia. Just let me know (see bullet #2!).
Holy-moly! Great pictures Jim and a lot of mumbo-jumbo. For most of us rookies, words like hydrological problems, aquifers and denominated values, kinda send us to la-la land. Of course living in Las Vegas and receiving the newest measurements from Lake Mead, will require most of the residents to start drinking more beer. Which isn’t a bad thing. Lake Mead is down about 110 feet. If you see pictures, the white ring is about 110 feet tall. But Las Vegas has a lot of money floating around and it will not go dry. The powers-to-be will steal it from somewhere. Cousin Pat is the expert on Lake Mead. He worked at the main pumping station for years and retired from same. I don’t know how this post will come out- -there is a big grey thing below my typing. Oh well. Keep up the good work and new pictures. I have not seen a belly dump slinger either. All is well around here. Talked to Pat and texted Dan so I know they are doing good. My family is good too. I hope your clan (s) are healthy and safe. The Tortoise Whisperer

Always good to hear from the Turtle Whisperer! Paula and I were recently at the Houston Zoo with our neighbors Lynn and Andy and visited the Galapagos exhibit. They had turtles big enough to ride on. But they were also big enough to eat me, so I did not approach them. Interesting fact: none of the animals in the exhibit are actually from the Galapagos. They are all lookalikes because the Ecuadorian government protects the animals from being captured and sold. (Although I am sure there is a black market in those creatures – Paula and I are going to the Galapagos next January; I’ll see if I can get you a giant turtle). We were very fascinated by the elephants as well.
