Ode to a Foundation

O silent strength! Deep-rooted to the earth,
Jewel of eternal stability,
Solid as the anvil of Haphaestus,
Quietly awaiting your destiny.

Your marble sheen invites the vibrant world
Mirroring the sky in metallic blue,
Reflecting idle clouds which wander by
O’er the surrounding oaks attending you.

O wondrous gift, heaven could thee acclaim!
To build upon thy grace, would seem
a shame.

  1. Dear Jaime Carrollo, This is going to be twofold; a “hi” howdy and to see if the turtle man is involved. What a beautiful pour! With the water hoses present, I’m taking it that the water is from the hoses and not rain. The reflections from the surrounding trees make this picture a keeper. One of your emails/comments mentioned that you and your son were looking at rifles. Then in the following picture, you are wearing a SWAT vest! Congratulations! What is your next assignment? Roust your rowdy neighbors? This is getting really exciting. Ok,ok- – all is well in Las Vegas or that is what I’m being told. Went to another car show Saturday put on by Hot Wheels. My friend entered his “only one” car. A Vera GT. They only made one- -looks like a McLaren but It has three seats across the front. The driver sits in the middle. (long story) He didn’t win- – but it was fun. I sent your TWTWTW to Pat and Dan. What does the multiple tw’s mean? Stay healthy, mend back to normal (whatever that is) and stay healthy.
