Taking Care of Business

If you were unable to access the post at the ranchojp.com site, please know I am working on that. In the meantime, press the “Read the Blog” link in the upper right hand corner. If you keep getting emails every time I publish a post and want out, send me a private email and I will take you off the subscribers list (hucknruck@gmail.com).

It has taken me a bit of time and research to remember how to negotiate this WordPress site. I am on a first name basis with several AI assistants. Between queries and replies, I came up with the following sonnet (a few lines short, but I thought I would spare you).

I am a humble human on my knees
My hair goes gray, my countenance decays
My skin dries out, my tears are chalk
I want to scream but who will care?
I look around, companions gone to grave
Poor souls whose treasure has no currency
Like hoarded treasure in the dirt
As I await the bot who promises
My needs to serve, my wants to sate
A simple question is too much to ask?
A simple reply is too much to give?

No news to report today. The borrow pit was wet and soggy and the trucks could not be loaded.

  1. The borrow pit was wet and soggy. Being a city boy, I don’t know what that means. Most of the time, on the start of a new day, I do not wakeup wet and soggy; it all “depends’.
